I don't even know what to say when I look at my before pictures, all I know is how I felt. 

 

I had just had my fifth baby and had gained a lot during pregnancy which isn't necessary, but I gained even more AFTER due to a very traumatic birth experience (who would have thought it, after four normal deliveries) which resulted in an emergency c-section!  

 

I ate for comfort, to shove down the feelings of failure and devastation I felt after the birth, it was harrowing. I was getting flashbacks, having to deal with a recovery of surgery that wasn't even discussed prior and I was also diagnosed with PND, the first time in five babies.  I have had a lifetime of fighting food, dieting, bingeing, gaining, losing and so the circle continued.  

 

I was only just hanging in there and caring for my five kids, I knew something had to be done. I had to try something different as obviously what I had been doing for my whole life wasn't good for the body or mind. 

 

I researched a different way of eating and decided I had nothing to lose, so I got started on June 1st, 2016, and also got to planning out my training. 

I could only walk to start with, so that's what I did! Moving my body daily was the goal to start with, then I started to jog and do body weight circuits, then I set my goal to return to teaching group fitness. 

 

In August, I returned to teaching Barre classes and then in October was able to return to teaching Les Mills Bodyattack. 

Eleven months after hitting rock bottom, mentally and physically, I've lost 39.5kg / 86lbs & 202cm lost from waist down measurements.

 

Thanks to eating the KETO way, not only have I lost weight and CM, I no longer fight with food, crave foods, spend my days thinking about what I can and cant have on my 'diet.' The feeling of being free of all the mind games is the best reward to eating this way, I actually am free to be me for the first time in my life.
