low carb : vegan tropical smoothie

Creating a low-carb smoothie can be difficult at times because so many fruits, protein powders and milks are actually high in sugars.

Focus on packing in the healthy fats and proteins to truly sustain your body throughout the day. Make sure to also check the carbohydrate levels and know your portion sizes when following a low-carb and whole foods diet.

This smoothie is sure to satiate and satisfy because it contains coconut milk, which is nourishing to the body and provides a balance of calories and healthy fats.

We used avocados because they are another great fat source and make the smoothie super creamy! Avocados have abundant nutrients which promote healthy skin and regular consumption can keep you from overeating and craving sugars.

The greens bring forth additional nutrients with plentiful iron, potassium, vitamins A and K, calcium and more. Greens are always a good idea to add to any meal, especially in the low-carb lifestyle!

Lastly, pineapple makes this smoothie sweet and tropical, with a unique nutrient profile that is low in sugars, contains anti-inflammatory components, and helps the body digest proteins with efficiency.

Use the vegan tropic smoothie as a quick lunch replacement knowing it will give you the macros you need or go a little crazy and use it as a guilt-free low-carb sweet treat!
