Hello, My name is Mike Juristy. I wanted to share with you all a little bit about my life change that I decided to make.

I was considered overweight and even obese for almost all of my life. I was always considered "the fat kid" growing up. I would go through periods where I thought I was really going to make a change and lose weight! Of course I would short term "diet" and lose a few pounds, just to gain them back plus more every time.

On December 27th, 2016, I woke up that morning and decided that it was time to make the change for real. I knew that I had to dive in head first and never look back! I started my weightloss journey at 5’7 and 280 pounds. I was wearing XL/XXL tops and 40/42 waisted bottoms. I started both weightlifting and dieting on the same day.

I researched and learned about Ketogenic diet for 3 weeks before committing to this way of eating. Since I’ve started implementing these life changes, I’ve managed to lose a 125 pounds overall. I’ve lost a serious amount of body fat all while gaining lean muscle. I’ve been visually estimated at 45% down to 14-15%. I’ve I’m now wearing S/M tops and size 30 waist bottoms.

All of this has been achieved thru keeping my eye on the prize. My secrets to my success have been discipline and motivation. Not only has keto reversed my high blood sugar, hypertension, and elevated resting heart rate, it has also boosted my mental clarity to an all time high along with reserved energy for any given time. I work as a Firefighter/Medic, so those last two benefits have been such a blessing for me!
